                      The RF 100mm F2.8L Macro IS USM is the first macro lens for Canon's full-frame mirrorless lineup. This medium telephoto lens has a minimum focus distance of 26cm (10") and a maximum magnification of 1.4x. The lens is stabilized to 5 stops alone and 8 stops with a coordinated body like the EOS R5. When in close-up mode, a hybrid mode, which corrects for angular and shift camera shake, is activated.

                      Optically, the 100mm F2.8L has 17 elements in 13 groups. Canon's 'Super Spectra Coating' reduces flare and ghosting. The camera's focusing group is moved by two Nano USM motors. A spherical aberration control dial allows users to adjust the appearance of bokeh and the overall softness of the image.

                      As with all L-series lenses, the 100mm is sealed against dust and moisture, and features a fluorine coat on the front element to repel oil and water.
